"When I laid down, I couldn't see across the room. And when I sat up, I could see across the room, out the door, and down the hallway."
- Eric Delaney
"I was impressed with how easy and comfortable the procedure was. I have no hesitation recommending this to my patients."

Many patients have a long-standing, positive relationship with their family optometrist. Additionally, it may be inconvenient for some to travel to our laser eye surgery centers in the Portland, Oregon area for all of their care. In these cases, patients may choose to 'co-manage' and have their own eye doctor perform some of the pre-operative and post-operative care. Because optometrists do not perform laser eye surgery, but are experts in dealing with the optical system, they can be an objective and unbiased source of pre-operative information as well as a trusted resource for care after laser eye surgery. Throughout Oregon, the optometrists that we work with have had the opportunity to see surgery from a variety of laser vision centers and generally guide the patient to surgeons of the highest quality.
We are happy to co-manage your pre-operative and post-operative care with your family eye doctor if you choose, provided that the doctor is qualified and trained to understand and manage the course of modern laser eye surgery. We have trained over 150 optometric physicians in the Pacific Northwest in this regard.
Dr. Teplick has a long-standing relationship with Pacific University College of Optometry, where he is an adjunct professor of ophthalmology. He is actively involved in the education of optometry students as well as providing many hours of continuing education for optometric physicians in practice.
To find out more about the possibility of co-management for your laser eye surgery at one of our Portland, Oregon area offices, residents of Beaverton, Salem, Bend, Albany, Vancouver, and surrounding communities are invited to contact doctor Stanley Teplick today.
Our strong alliance with Pacific University’s College of Optometry is a result of Dr. Stanley Teplick’s commitment to the future of optometry, and his belief in quality education. As the leading school in the region, the College of Optometry has recently celebrated its 150th anniversary.
Dr. Teplick, medical director and surgeon at Teplick Custom Vision, serves as an adjunct professor at the college, helping to further educate and maintain high standards of training for tomorrow’s optometric physicians.
Dr. Tara Pinske also serves on the college faculty, using her wealth of practical experience to help educate future eye doctors by coordinating student clinical rotations through the center as well as actively teaching a course in refractive surgery.
